The Lower Danube Tourist Information Center (LDTIC) named after Jan Bakker started its activities in May 2004 in the town of Vilkovo - the tourist center of the Lower Danube region. It was established as a public organization, founded by a number of local tourism stakeholders.

Our main goal is to promote the Lower Danube tourist products at the national and international levels. The key activities and objectives include:
to provide tourist information to individual tourists.
to promote the Lower Danube region through dissemination of tourist information, through publications, direct mailing and promotion activities, advertisements, participation in exhibitions and economic missions, post cards, web-sites, brochures and posters.
to represent the interests of local tour companies and to organize training sessions in order to develop new services and improve existing ones.
